WELCOME!

Welcome to the Oklahoma Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC). Our members include technical writers, editors, graphic designers, Web specialists, and many more. A number of our members are self-employed and work as freelancers or consultants.

What do all these members have in common? They know the value of professional development and networking opportunities that STC has to offer. Want more information about STC and about membership benefits?

The Oklahoma Chapter holds meetings and workshops in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and Stillwater--meetings and workshops that are open to the public. Want more information on the Oklahoma Chapter of STC and the student chapter at Oklahoma State University?

STC Announcement

If you didn't get to attend the STC Summit in early May, then...

STC is bringing the Summit to you, with SUMMIT@aClick!

We realize that it wasn't possible for everyone to come to the Summit in Dallas and experience STC's 57th Annual Conference in person. So while we can't bring you the all-important networking that took place at the Summit, we can bring almost all of the sessions directly to your computer. SUMMIT@aClick offers conference sessions synched to PowerPoint and also allows access to speaker materials (when available). STC's Summit offered over 90 sessions in nine different tracks, and SUMMIT@aClick will include 80 or more of them!

Even Summit attendees—who receive SUMMIT@aClick free with registration—couldn't get to everything they wanted. "This Summit was extremely packed with all kinds of information," Tony Chung said after the Summit. "I'm going to be referring to Summit@aClick for the next year. There's just so much stuff that I didn't get to see!"

And you can see it all too! SUMMIT@aClick for the 2010 conference will be live later in the summer, but pre-order now and get a special discount rate of $249 for members, $499 for nonmembers. That gets you the 80-plus recorded sessions and lets you learn from some of the top technical communication minds ... all on your computer and on your schedule. (Access good through 31 March 2011.)
